A new qualified dentist from Ardara is all smiles after wining a major award.
Dr Eileen Mc Glinchey (aka Smiley Eileey) only graduated in May of this year.
As the creator of the Smileyeileey Oral Health and Teething Range, she has made a line of products that uses a fun approach to encourage children to develop healthy dental habits.
Now that she has qualified, Eileen plans to continue with her workshops and bring her skills back home to begin practicing in the north west, where there is a high demand in the profession.
Now Eileen’s reputation is gathering her admirers outside of Donegal.
On Saturday night last Eileen attended the Irish Dentistry Awards at the Round Room at the Mansion House in Dublin and was named ‘Irish Dentistry’s Rising Star Award 2024″.

Eileen said she was speechless after taking the accolade.
She added “I am absolutely thrilled to be selected as the winner in this highly sought after award in the Dental industry.
“It is truly heart warming to be recognised for my dedication to prevention and willingness to tackle children’s oral health in a positive and fun way.”
This is the 13th year of the Irish Dentistry’s awards which celebrates the outstanding achievements and contributions to enhance oral health care across Ireland.
Irish Dentistry’s Rising Star Award recognises Dental professionals who has shown significant achievement in their career to date and who continues to exhibit passion, drive and attainment.
