Naomh Padraig Muff GAA club has paid tribute to senior player, Evan Craig (24), who passed away peacefully at his home yesterday evening.

The late Mr Craig had bravely been battling cancer for some time.

He starred for the club at underage level, before progressing to the senior team where he played alongside Donegal GAA star, Caolan McColgan.

The club took to social media last night to pay tribute to their fallen star.

“We as a club are devastated this evening to hear of the sad passing of our much loved and respected senior player, Evan Craig,” a club spokesperson said.

“We are heartbroken for Evan’s parents Joe & Grace, sisters Ciara and Orla, Girlfriend Cloda, brother in law Darragh, Nieces Ellie & Anna and all the family.”

As a mark of respect, all club activities have been suspended until further notice.
