The people of Muff will be joined together in heartache this morning as they bid farewell to a popular and brave young local man.

Evan Craig, 24, of Ture passed away peacefully on Sunday following a brave battle with cancer.

The Muff GAA senior player will be laid to rest today, Wednesday following 3pm Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Muff.

Those attending the funeral are invited to wear green or colours representing his much-loved clubs Naomh Padraig GAA/Celtic.

The community will also pay a poignant tribute to Evan at his beloved Naomh Padraig GAA Pitch at 2pm this afternoon, where everyone is encouraged to stand alongside Evan and his family and friends as he makes his final journey.

Evan will then travel to Sacred Heart Church, Muff the 3pm Funeral Mass followed by Burial in the adjoining graveyard.

May Evan Rest In Peace.
