Age should never be a barrier when competing in sport – young or old.

And that proved to be the case yesterday for a proud grandmother and grandson, both members of Finn Valley.

Proud grandmother Gloria Donaghey competed in the Donegal Masters Cross Country Championships.

But Gloria was also able to watch her grandson, Blake Keenan, help Finn Valley AC to the U9 gold medal as he finished fourth.

It’s definitely in the genes!
