Gardaí are investigating a burglary in Letterkenny last weekend in which an intruder entered a house while the residents were upstairs.
The incident occurred at Windmill View, Letterkenny in the early hours of Friday the 13th of September (between 00.30am – 00.45am).
The person had entered the home via an unlocked front door. When disturbed, he fled via the back door, taking off with a River Island handbag. The bag contained IDs and some other items but no cash.
Gardaí have appealed for any sightings of suspicious people in the area on the night in question: “We appeal to anybody who may have observed this male on foot in the area in the early hours of Friday morning or any suspicious activity/vehicles to make contact with Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100.
“As always we appeal to anybody who may have been in the area around that time with a dash cam to make the footage available to us.”
