An investigation is underway following a burglary at a derelict house in Mountcharles over the weekend.
The break-in took place in the Stone Park area around 4:30am in the early hours of Sunday morning (15th Sept) when the rear door of a derelict house was forced open. While the full extent of the items stolen has not been determined, Gardaí have confirmed that a break-in did occur.
“A couple of people were observed not far from that location around that time carrying a box and a bag to a vehicle,” a spokesperson said.
“We appeal to anybody who may have observed these people or a vehicle parked in that area in the early hours of Sunday morning to make contact with Gardaí in Ballyshannon on 071-9858530.
“If anybody travelled in the area between 4am and 5am with a dash cam, we ask them to make the footage available to Gardaí. The Garda Confidential line may be reached on 1800 666 111.”
