Maureen McLaughlin’s exceptional baking skills were on full display at the National Brown Bread Baking Competition semi-finals at the Ploughing this week.
While Maureen didn’t advance to the final, her participation in the semi-final was a significant accomplishment as she flew the flag for Donegal.

In a fierce competition filled with talented bakers, Martin Malone from Dublin and Rose Egan from Offaly were successful in getting through to the final which takes place tomorrow.
The annual competition is supported by Euronics in association with the National Ploughing Association and the Irish Country Women’s Association.
The winning brown bread baker will walk away with a cash prize of €5,000 and a NEFF Slide & Hide oven, with the three finalists all walking away with a €500 Euronics gift card.
