The popular ‘Birch Tree’ restaurant at Glenveagh National Park Visitor Centre has closed its doors.

In a post on the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) website, management said they are exploring ‘alternative options’ for future provision of catering services there.

“Regrettably, the ‘The Birch Tree’ Restaurant in the Visitor Centre, Glenveagh National Park, is now closed for the season,” the statement read.

“We thank you for your patience and understanding as we explore alternative options for the provision of catering services at the visitor centre.”

However, the excellent Castle tea rooms, attached to Glenveagh Castle, continue to provide light snacks, tray bakes and tea – coffees.
