A major investigation was launched in Letterkenny this morning after a burglary sweep through the town.

Seven premises were broken into in the Pearse Road area over the past two days.

Among those was Hue Hair Salon, which was forced to close for the day to repair the damage.

Gardaí are currently working to assess the full extent of the crimes and are conducting inquiries to determine if any items were stolen.

A spokesperson confirmed to Donegal Daily that no arrests have been made yet, while investigations are ongoing.
