The best of northwest filmmakers on the big screen in Donegal Bay Film Festival

The Donegal Bay Film Festival is returning for a second year, bringing a showcase of local filmmaking talent to Eclipse Cinemas, Bundoran on 2nd and 3rd October at 8pm each night.

This FREE event, run as part of the Donegal Bay & Bluestacks Festival, runs over the two nights with a programme of short films showcasing the best of Northwest film makers across documentary and drama.

There will be hosted discussion/Q&A with the film makers after each screening.

The programme offers a wide range of films from surf documentary, experimental to social realist drama.

Previous work from some of the award winning Northwest filmmakers include; writer/film maker Ben Conway (One Way – starring Kevin Bacon & Machine Gun Kelly), Writer/filmmaker James Doherty (The Final Countdown – Channel 4), Actress/Writer/filmmaker Dorothy Duffy (Peterloo – directed by Mike Leigh, Magdalene Sisters) & Edwin Mullan (feature film -‘Horseshoe’ premieres 2025).
