National: Two teenagers killed after collision with tractor

Two teenagers have died in an accident between a car and a tractor in County Mayo.

The crash occurred shorly after 8pm on the N83 at Levallyroe, County Mayo shortly after 8pm last night.

A teenage boy and a man aged in his late teens were killed in the collision, with another teenager transferred to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The driver of the tractor, a man aged in his 50s, was also treated for non life-threatening injuries he sustained in the accident.

A technical examination of the scene is now taking place.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to the collision to come forward.
