Racing: Winner for Luke McAteer at the Curragh

Jockey Luke McAteer enjoyed a winning run and a second place finish at the Curragh on Sunday.

The Rathmullan man was first home with a comfortable win in the 5pm Bord Na Mona Recycling Rated Race on the 7/2 shot ‘Tokenomics’.

Earlier, he rode ‘A Piece of Heaven’ to a second place finish in the 4.25pm Friends Of The Curragh Irish Cesarewitch (Premier Handicap). The 22/1 shot horse is trained by Joseph Patrick O’Brien.

McAteer also competed in three other runs on the day, placing 14/18, 11/16 and 11/11.
