Gardaí in Buncrana are investigating a serious assault that occurred at the Railway Road area of the town last weekend.
At approximately 10.45pm on Saturday night, Gardaí were alerted to an altercation of some description that had taken place at that location.
They then discovered an injured man upon their arrival. An ambulance was called and he was taken to hospital to receive medical treatment for injuries sustained, none of which are believed to be life threatening in nature.
If anybody witnessed the incident in question, they are asked to contact Gardaí in Buncrana on 074 9320540. Anybody who may have dash cam footage from the area of the Railway Road between 10.30pm and 11pm on that date are also asked to make it available to Gardaí.
