Three free workshops are taking place in Donegal this October to help young people get on the career ladder.

The Targeted Youth Employability Support Initiative (TYESI) by Donegal Youth Service is tailored to young people aged 15 to 18 and 18 to 24 who are currently not in employment, education, or training.

Over the course of three 10-week workshops in Mevagh Family Resource centre, (Downings), Finn Valley Family resource centre (Stranorlar) and Tirhugh Resource centre (Ballyshannon), participants will pick up tips, valuable skills and gain support to enhance their employability and confidence.

Paul Anderson, Youth Information Development Officer with Donegal Youth Service suggests: “We are eager to work with young people to tailor the programme to meet their needs and our hope is to improve each participants potential to gain meaningful employment.”

This initiative is designed to empower youth and provide the ultimate stepping stones towards a brighter future. Interested individuals are encouraged to apply now and take the first step towards building their careers. DYS warmly welcome and encourage participation from people with disabilities, non-nationals, and individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds.

For more information, please contact Paul at Donegal Youth Service at: tyesi@donegalyouthservice.ie or 074 9129630

The initiative is funded by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth.
