Donegal’s Danu choir and its quartets had a successful weekend at the Irish Association of Barbershop Singers Convention 2024.

The Letterkenny-based group secured multiple top finishes across various categories.

On Friday, Ceoltóirí Canóla claimed the coveted First Place in the National Quartet Competition.

The following day, the Danu Young Women’s choir continued the success, winning the Youth Chorus Competition.

The Platinum Dolls proved to be a force to be reckoned with, capturing First Place in the Youth Quartet Competition. Three Basses and that One Tenor also secured a podium finish, taking Third Place. ASMR sung beautifully and did themselves proud.

The awards didn’t stop there. At the Gala Concert on Saturday night, Ceoltóirí Canóla were honoured with the Most Improved award, while the Youth Quartet Champions, Platinum Dolls received the Best Novice recognition.
