Funeral for Kyle McDermott to be held in his native Burt

Donegal man Kyle McDermott will be laid to rest in his native Burt on Sunday afternoon.

Kyle, aged 24, died on Monday following a violent altercation outside the home he shared with his girlfriend Chloe McGonagle in Ballymagorry, near Strabane.

He passed away at Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry in the early hours of Monday.

Kyle’s Funeral will be held this Sunday 13th October at St Aengus` Church, Burt at 2p.m. Interment afterwards in Burt Cemetery.

Kyle, of Castlecooley, Burt is the beloved partner of Chloe, son of Stephen and Claire, brother of Stephanie, Arden and Sheehan, dearly loved grandson of Ellen and the late Packie Mallon and the late Phonsie and Annie Mc Dermott.

The House is strictly private to family only please.

Daniel Patrick Hanna, of Victoria Road in Strabane, appeared at Dungannon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday accused of the manslaughter of Kyle McDermott. Hanna was remanded in custody and the case is due to be heard again on 31st October.
