A driver has been arrested in the Ballyshannon area after testing positive for cannabis.
The detection was made at a Mandatory Intoxicant Testing checkpoint on Wednesday morning.
The individual was arrested and a blood sample was obtained to be sent for analysis to confirm the presence of cannabis in the driver’s system.
“Never risk lives by driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” said a spokesperson for Donegal gardaí.
