Light showers and plenty of cloud are expected in most parts this morning, before intensifying this afternoon as a status yellow weather warning issued for the county comes into effect.
Met Éireann have warned of a potential for coastal flooding when the moderate rain warning begins at 2pm.
The warning is currently set to last until 10pm tonight.
Highest temperatures today between 8 and 13 degrees celsius, with moderate to fresh winds anticipated also.
