The Ghaoth Dobhair Credit Union 2024 Art Competition has been a great success with entries from 11 schools totalling over 500 entries.
To showcase the beautiful artwork and meet the 16 winners from across the various age groups, the Derrybeg office hosted a prize giving event for each winner to receive their prize, certificate and goody bag.
This year’s theme celebrates ‘The Joys of Life’ which invited participants to share what brings them joy and happiness. Celebrating life’s simple pleasures and treasured moments through the likes of beautiful sunsets, sharing laughter with friends, or spending time with loved ones, the theme encourages participants to highlight their precious memories.

This year’s theme honours the joys that make life meaningful and encourages participants to share those special moments that bring happiness to our everyday lives. We are continually impressed by the incredible entries we receive each year and this year was no exception with our largest amount of entries to date. One of the most prominent and longest-running competitions of its type across Ireland, we are extremely appreciative of all the students and schools time who take part, go raibh maith agat.”
