‘Doneghouls’ podcast unearths supernatural stories from across Donegal

Convoy residents Hazel O’Toole and Barry Finnimore have released the first episode of their Doneghouls podcast – perfect for listening to on these dark nights!

Re-telling stories of ghouls, ghosts and spectres in Donegal, Hazel and Barry have gathered tales of theatre ghosts, haunted houses and restless spirits from around the county.

“As blow-ins to Donegal, we absolutely love hearing about the history of the county,” they say, “and putting a haunted twist on it has been fascinating, so many people have stories and experiences of the supernatural, but don’t often speak of them due to feeling self-conscious or superstitious”.

“Our podcast doesn’t aim to prove or debunk any stories or sightings, just to carry on our tradition of story-telling, something the Irish are uniquely good at.”

The first episode takes listeners backstage at the Balor Arts Centre for some fascinating stories.

Their podcast can be found on Acast – https://shows.acast.com/doneghouls or on Spotify, and they also haunt Instagram @doneghouls
