An appeal for information has been made after a derelict house in Letterkenny was set ablaze last week.

Gardaí say the incident took place at a derelict building in the Crievesmith area of the town, shortly after 4:30pm on Tuesday the 29th of October.

The fire was extinguished, and no one was hurt in the incident.

Gardaí however are appealing for witnesses, in particular in relation to a group of youths who were spotted near the derelict home shortly before the fire broke out.

Anyone who has any information regarding the youths, or has dash cam footage from the Crievesmith area on the day in question has been asked to contact Gardaí in Letterkenny.
