Gardaí have made an information appeal after an antique anvil was stolen from the Kincasslagh area.

The theft is believed to have happened at some point between January and October of this year at The Pier, Kincasslagh.

An antique dark metal iron anvil was stolen from a shed at that location, with Gardaí saying the shed had been unlocked.

Gardaí also noted that the anvil in question was heavy and would have required a number of people to lift it.

Anyone who has any information relating to this theft, or has come across a similar item for sale on second-hand marketplaces in recent months, has been asked to contact Gardaí in Milford.
