The Finance Bill will be debated and passed by the Dáil later today before completing all stages in the Seanad tomorrow.

It is the major remaining piece of legislation that must be passed before the Taoiseach seeks the dissolution of the Dáil later this week.

It is still expected that polling day for the upcoming General Election will take place on Friday, November 29th next.

The majority of election candidates in Donegal have already declared their intentions to run.

Leinster House is now on a firm election footing with the rest of the country just waiting on Taoiseach Simon Harris to dissolve the 33rd Dáil.

That could happen on Thursday or Friday.
