Gardaí are investigating after a teenager was tragically killed in a hit-and-run overnight.
A 16-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle near Robertstown, County Kildare just after midnight on Sunday morning.
The vehicle involved failed to remain at the scene according to Gardaí.
The body of the teenager has been removed from the scene, with a post mortem due to take course at Naas General Hospital.
Gardaí have appealled to witnesses or those with dash-cam footage in the area to come forward.
