Ten medals for Donegal at Gymnastics Special Olympics Ulster Qualifier

Gymnasts from Donegal brought home an impressive 10 medals at the Special Olympics 2024 Ulster Qualifier in Artistic Gymnastics.

The team from Jump ‘n’ Jacks Special Olympics Gymnastics Club, based at Letterkenny Community Centre, comprised Meg Carr, Emily Reid, Sarah Bradley, Chloe Tourish, and Kobe Barrett.

Special Olympics 2024 Ulster Qualifier in Artistic Gymnastics competition in Salto Gymnastics Centre,

Meg Carr from Letterkenny claimed a silver medal on the vault and a gold medal on the floor exercise.

Emily Reid from Donegal Town secured gold medals in both the vault and floor events.

Sarah Bradley from Killygordon achieved gold medals on the vault and floor exercise.

Chloe Tourish from Letterkenny earned gold medals in the vault and floor events.

Kobe Barrett from Letterkenny scooped gold medals on the vault and floor exercise.

Sarah Bradley also had the honour of reciting the Athlete’s Oath at the start of the competition.

“Congratulations to our brilliant athletes for putting in the hard work in their routines,” said a spokesperson from the club.
