Gardai have launched an investigation after a woman was mugged for her phone while out walking in Kilmacrennan.
The woman was out walking at the Community Development Park, Ballykeeran, Kilmacrennan at 2pm last Thursday, November 7th.
As she was walking a cyclist came behind her and snatched her phone form her hand.
The thief, who was in his late teens of early 20s, then cycled on in the direction of the local woods following the robbery.
The phone in question is a black Samsung Galaxy S22.
Gardai have appealed for anybody with information on the robbery to get in touch with them.
A spokesperson said “We appeal to anybody who may have observed the incident or observed this male on a bike in the area to make contact with Gardaí in Milford on 074-9153060.
“If anybody was in the general area with a dash-cam between 1.30pm and 2.30pm, we ask them to make the footage available to Gardaí.
“Should anybody come across a similar mobile phone for sale on a second hand basis, we ask them to alert Gardaí also.”
