An unplanned power cut has hit 1,170 properties in the Ballybofey/Stranorlar area of Donegal this morning.

The fault was reported at 8.50am, centred in the Dooish area.

ESB networks are working on repairs and expect to have supply restored by 10am.

A statement to customers said: “We apologise for the loss of supply. We are currently working to repair a fault affecting your premises and will restore power as quickly as possible.”
