Alcohol Forum Ireland requires Donegal-based Family Support Worker

Alcohol Forum Ireland is a national charity that believes in an Ireland where every child, family and community is free from the harmful effects of alcohol.

We are inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals for the post of: FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER       

Salary will be agreed based on skills and experience

Base: Donegal.

Contract Duration.  Full-time.

Alcohol Forum Ireland is an independent national charity dedicated to preventing and reducing alcohol related harms in communities across the island of Ireland. This growing organisation provides a range of supports and services to individuals, families and communicates while working at the wider level to change Ireland’s problematic relationship with alcohol.  Alcohol Forum Ireland believes real change will only happen by working with communities to address the causes of alcohol harm in Ireland.  Our approach is shaped by evidence and is informed by the expressed needs of the people and communities we work with across Ireland.  Our work provides the support, resources and expertise needed to reduce and prevent the harmful effects of alcohol on individuals, families and communities.  For more information on our work, visit www.alcoholforum.org

About the Role

AFI Family Support Services provide Evidence Based Interventions to Children, Young People, Individuals and Families who are negatively impacted by a loved one’s substance use. The purpose of the role of Family Support Worker is to support, coordinate, develop, and deliver evidence-based interventions supporting families impacted by the harms of Alcohol and other Drugs. They will work in partnership with other partners and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of the overall aims of Alcohol Forum Ireland.
