Following the remarkable success of previous campaigns, #BuyDonegal is set to make a triumphant return in 2024, once again shining a spotlight on the incredible businesses of Donegal!

This initiative offers a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to promote their innovative products and services while encouraging everyone to support them.

Developed by Donegal County Council, this year’s campaign will kick off on November 25th and continue through December 20th, providing plenty of time for last-minute festive shopping!

Cathaoirleach, Cllr Niamh Kennedy, said: “#BuyDonegal serves as an exceptional platform for showcasing the creativity and authenticity of Donegal businesses. The overwhelming response from both the business community and the public in previous years has been inspiring. In 2024, we aim to amplify this momentum and further elevate the profile of Donegal’s businesses.”

#BuyDonegal presents consumers with a wonderful opportunity to discover unique gifts from Donegal while simultaneously bolstering the local economy. It encompasses a wide array of sectors, including food and beverage producers, artisans, tourism operators, and retailers.

The campaign will be reinforced with a robust online marketing strategy, including a dedicated buydonegal.com website where consumers can explore the fantastic array of products and services available from Donegal. Visit the site now to check out some of the incredible businesses involved and begin curating your shopping list ahead of the November launch.

Garry Martin, Director of Economic Development at Donegal County Council, added, “In 2023, over 300 businesses participated in #BuyDonegal, making a significant impact on the local business landscape. The enthusiasm shown not only by the Donegal community but also by our global Diaspora was fantastic to witness. We’re excited to build on this success in 2024.”

Whether you’re near or far, you can support the campaign by purchasing Donegal-made products and services. Share your experiences on social media using the hashtag #BuyDonegal or its Irish equivalent, #CeannaighDúnnanGall.

For Donegal businesses that have not yet signed up for the campaign, please visit https://donegal.ie/businessportal to register your details and be a part of this exciting initiative!
