Motorists urged to avoid Lough Salt Road due to poor conditions

Donegal County Council is advising motorists of poor driving conditions on Lough Salt Road.

Road users are asked to avoid the stretch of the road between Kilmacrennan and Glen due to ‘very poor’ driving conditions.

Earlier, Met Éireann warned of some icy stretches in the north west.

There will also be scattered showers this morning, mainly of rain or sleet, but isolated snow showers are also possible.
