A Buncrana author has released the perfect book – just in time for Christmas.
Up-and-coming writer Jade o’Neill (pictured above with daughter Darcy) is hoping ‘Swan Park Robin’ – the Christmas edition – will be the perfect stocking filer on Santa’s list across Donegal on December 25th.
It is the first in a series of story books, all based around the popular town park.
A rhyming book for kids age 4 and up, it has a lovely little story which follows a little robin, telling the reader a big secret within the park and how they need to help Santa.
The robin and fairies of Swan Park give the reader special instructions on “HOW” to help them, create the magic Santa needs in order to make the toys for Christmas.
Jade has always dreamt of becoming a children’s author and is absolutely delighted to finally see her dreams become reality.
Those dreams had to take a temporary back seat while raising a family, but Jade feels now is the perfect time.
The local author also proudly uses her late mother Marie O’Neill’s painting of Swan Park as her logo for all promotions.
She now aims to release another couple of stories in 2025 where she will continue telling fairytales of Swan Park and other local areas within her home town of Buncrana which will all showcase the beauty and magic within the area.

Jade will also be taking part in local Christmas markets, where you can meet and greet the author herself.
