Update 4pm: The glass has been removed without incident.

An earlier version of this article reported that emergency services were called over a large pane of glass at risk of falling off a roof on Dunfanaghy Main Street.

The glass slid down on the roof of the derelict Carraig Rua Hotel and appeared to be on the verge of falling.

Members of the public were urged to avoid walking beneath the building.

Cllr Michael McClafferty warned that the glass “could fall any second”.
