Counting is officially underway at the Aura Leisure Centre in Letterkenny in the 2024 General Election.

With five seats to be filled, many seasoned watchers are expecting a marathon count which could last until Monday.

Counting staff are busy emptying boxes as votes are counted.

Tallymen and women are busy with the pens trying to get a handle on who exactly is looking good.

The coffee and tea is on and there’s even chat of scones!
