1.30pm: All boxes from the Milford area have been opened and Sinn Fein’s Pearse Doherty is clear in the lead with 23% of the tally votes.

Fine Gael newcomer Nikki Bradley is fourth in the tally in this, her local area, with 781 votes and 10.2% of the tally. The party had placed a strong focus on sweeping up support here from outgoing Joe McHugh.

Doherty’s running mate Padraig MacLochlainn (Sinn Féin) and Charlie McConalogue (Fianna Fáil) are near neck-and-neck for second and third. McConalogue is at 16.5% with 1,266 and MacLochlainn has 1,252 (16.4%).

The fifth runner is Charles Ward of the 100% Redress Party, who secured 9.5%.
