Students from the Loreto in Letterkenny showed their enterprising spirit this week at the school’s Christmas Trade Fair.

Transition Year, LCA and Second Year students set out their stalls, with plenty of interested shoppers from the local community and other schools dropping by as well.

Parents, teachers and sixth class students from Scoil Cholmcille, Scoil Mhuire gan Smál, Educate Together, Illistrin and Drumoghill visited the stalls, joined by some very special guest judges.

Letterkenny Chamber President Claire McDonough, Sadhbha Medler from Sourced by Sab and Caroline Sweeney from the Castle Grove Country House Hotel judged the students’ stalls and awards were handed out to the best at the trade fair’s end.

The winners at the trade fair were:

– Best Transition Year Product – Deborah’s Customised Gifts
– Best Second Year Product – Cales and Bales by Katie
– Best LCA products – CJ Crafts
– Best Salesperson – Birdie by Darcie Boyle
– Philanthropic Award – Christmas Calendars for Charity
– Sustainability Award – The Book Club
– Product Potential Award – The Tote Bag Boutique
– Creativity Award – APC love
– Best Stand – Holly Baubles
– Best Craft Award – Honey Dip by D&G
– Best Baked Stand – Munchelious Treats
