A Donegal country musician and poet is set to launch her first poetry book next week.

Mary Bates’ Echoes of Resilience will be officially launched at the Letterkenny Shopping Centre on Friday, December 6th at 1pm.

Already known to many as a talented country and western musician, her first poetry book will now expand on Mary’s unique storytelling style.

Echoes of Resilience is a heartfelt collection that delves into the themes of perseverance, hope, and the strength of the human spirit. The title itself reflects Mary’s own journey through life’s challenges and the resilience she has found in her own experiences. Through her words, Mary invites readers to join her in exploring the universal nature of struggle and the power of overcoming adversity.

Mary has expressed her deep gratitude to her friends, family, and supporters who have been with her every step of the way, both in her music career and as she explored the world of poetry. “I am so thankful for the love and encouragement I’ve received from so many wonderful people. This book is as much a celebration of their support as it is of my journey,” she shared. “I truly hope to see as many of you as possible on December 6th for this special day.”

Also, local radio legend, “The Country Boy” Tommy Rosney will be on hand to help launch the book on the day too. Tommy, known for his warm personality and long-standing connection to the Donegal community, will offer a few words of celebration as Mary embarks on this new chapter of her artistic journey. His presence at the launch is a testament to the strong support and camaraderie within the local arts community.

The book is available for sale online at marybates.bigcartel.com in both printed and digital formats.
