Over 20,000 people still without power in Donegal after Storm Darragh

Tens of thousands of homes across Donegal remain without power this morning after the county was battered by Storm Darragh overnight.

In total, more than 21,000 households and businesses are currently without electricity, with outages being reported all across the county.

Outages have been reported in: Carndonagh, Quigley’s Point, Buncrana, Muff, Bridgend, Newtowncunningham, Letterkenny, Kilmacrennan, Ramelton, Milford, Kerrykeel, Glen, Carrigart, Downings, Creeslough, Burtonport, Dungloe, Maghery, Letirmacaward, Carrickfin, Glenties, Glencolmbkille, Kilcar, Donegal Town, Bundoran, the Twin Towns, Drumkeen, Convoy, Raphoe & Rossgeir.

There are currently more than 40 separate reported power outages across County Donegal, with the ESB advising that it may be 5pm this evening before power can be restored to affected customers.
