A Kerry teenager has been left in critical condition following a serious road traffic incident involving an e-scooter last night.

Gardai and emergency services were alerted to reports of an incident on Saint Brendan’s Road in Tralee, at approximately 6.30pm yesterday evening.

Upon arrival, emergency responders discovered a man, aged in his late teens, who had suffered serious injuries. The injured party had been travelling on an e-scooter.

The teenager was rushed to University Hospital Kerry for treatment and his condition is currently described as critical.

The scene of the road traffic incident remains preserved this morning to allow for a full technical examination.
