When asked why he chose the Master of Business in Innovation and Leadership at ATU, Paddy Rast shared, “The reason I chose to pursue this programme was to enhance my skills in these two areas, which are vital for fostering growth and navigating the challenges of today’s business landscape.”

Paddy, a Project and Sustainability Manager at a medical device manufacturing company in Switzerland, leveraged ATU’s Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) to gain entry into the programme. The flexible structure of the course was instrumental in helping him balance his professional and personal commitments.

The course had a transformative impact on Paddy’s career progression. He reflected, “In a nutshell, completing my MBS was truly life-changing. It not only provided me with the qualification but also significantly boosted my confidence, opening doors to new opportunities and advancing my career path.”

In relation to engaging with RPL, he noted, “The portfolio included an element of academic writing, which presented a challenging yet highly rewarding learning curve. I thoroughly enjoyed the process, and the support provided by the staff was invaluable in helping me navigate and excel in this area.”

Paddy particularly appreciated the support from faculty and the collaborative nature of action learning sets. Paddy’s journey demonstrates the life-changing potential of education through flexible learning and recognition of prior learning. His advice to prospective students? “I would recommend the Master of Business in Innovation and Leadership to anyone. If you’re unsure, I’d say absolutely go for it.”
