Glenveagh National Park is offering their fully equipped Visitor Centre restaurant operation to rent for just €100 a year.
The grass roofed ‘Birch Tree’ eatery is fitted with a full suite of catering equipment and public toilets, emergency and security requirements as well as central heating ‘at no extra cost’ by the park authority. The fully furnished circular building can comfortably seat up to 90 diners
One of Donegal’s top tourist attractions, the park receives around 200,000 visitors a year and was left with no restaurant facilities in September when a contractual arrangement fell through.
“The Park Authority are now looking to develop the restaurant service with experienced parties who are interested in running a busy and vibrant cafeteria style restaurant that will cater for the increasing number of visitors to the National Park throughout the year,” a spokesperson for the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) said.
