Letterkenny was twinkling with festive cheer last night as the annual ‘Light Up Letterkenny’ charity parade took to the streets.

Well over 100 lorries, tractors and cars were decked out in dazzling lights to toot across the town centre.

Families lined the streets to catch the displays and spot waving elves, polar bears and  Santa Clauses on the various vehicles. The event, organised by Bernard Gallagher from CBM Signs, was very well supported by the motoring community who get more creative each year.

The parade raises funds for Blood Bikes North West and the Donegal Hospice. The total raised will be revealed in due course.

“What a great night we had,” said Bernard Gallagher from CBM Signs.

“Thanks everyone for coming taking part watching and helping.

“Biggest year yet.”
