Main pic: Letterkenny AC’s Noelle and Noel Lynch having completed the Malaga Half Marathon
Congratulations to Letterkenny AC’s Ciaran McGonagle who, along with Catriona Jennings, competed for Ireland in the 100km Championships in Bengaluru, India.
Ciaran placed 27th overall in seven hours, fourteen minutes and two seconds finishing 2nd in his category. An outstanding achievement in high levels of humidity. Catriona succumbed to the humidity 8 laps in and withdrew.
In Malaga Noel Lynch and his daughter Noelle ran the half marathon in times of 1:59 and 2:29 respectively.
Noreen McGettigan also travelled to Malaga and ran a fantastic marathon crossing the line in 3:46. Well done to Noel, Noelle and Noreen.

At the Tír Chonaill A.C. 5km L.A.C. member Ciaran O’Donnell ran 21:33.
In the Derry Cross Country Open Dale Corbett ran 24:33.
Brian McBride put in a fantastic performance in the same event to finish in a superb time of 32:58 in the M70 category. Congratulations to Dale and Brian.
LAC hosts running sessions from the Aura Leisure Centre on a Tuesday at 5.15pm and 6.30pm for interval running sessions, a Thursday evening hill run at 6pm, Saturday mornings at 9.30am for a tempo run and Sunday mornings at 8am for a long run.
Fit 4 Life which is run by LAC in conjunction with the Donegal Sports Partnership takes place every Monday at 6pm on the track at the Aura Leisure Centre Letterkenny.
