An unstoppable Dungloe-based dad has won an amazing €10,000 for two charities after being crowned the winner of CLG An Clochán Liath’s Quid Games!

Ronan Mulligan, from Co. Down, now living in Dungloe, pulled out all the stops to fundraise for two great causes – Little Blue Heroes and the new sensory room in Scoil Chróine Dungloe.

His efforts were driven by his son, Cian, 13, who has complex needs and greatly benefits from support in Scoil Chróine Dungloe. Cian is also an Honorary Garda with the Little Blue Heroes programme.

The sold-out finale at McCafferty’s Marquee in Dungloe saw contestants from across the Rosses push their limits in a series of challenging mental and physical tests.

After a fierce competition, Mulligan and Danny Rodgers faced off in the final showdown.

After almost two hours of non-stop action, Ronan emerged the victor and the winner of €10,000 for his charities.

The “Quid Games,” which received overwhelming local support, will also significantly benefit CLG An Clochán Liath, as the initial €2,000 raised by each contestant will be directed towards the club.
