Daniel is here!

The stars were out in force last night at the wedding of Termon All-Star footballer Geraldine McLaughlin and Shane Callaghan when Daniel O’Donnell made a surprise appearance!

The superstar crooner sent the Clanree Hotel ballroom into a frenzy when he stepped out for a performance secretly arranged by Shane as a gift to his new bride Geraldine.

And the newlyweds even got to join Daniel onstage!

Daniel sang a romantic rendition of “I Need You” before congratulating the happy couple.

“You’re some operator,” Daniel said to Shane. “I have never done this before, sing at a wedding. Whenever Shane got on to me it was hard to say what I’d be doing on this particular night and as the day drew close, sure I knew I was home and it wasn’t far to come out.”

Daniel wished Geraldine and Shane many happy years together before performing the classic ‘Our House Is A Home” to a packed dancefloor.

Mr and Mrs Callaghan’s wedding band, the David Craig Band, were the only other people to be in on the surprise.

Sharing the video, they said: “Daniel gave up his time freely in Christmas week to travel up and sing 5/6 songs and make their wedding day really special and as you’ll hear if you listen to the end, he was so humble and happy to celebrate with the newlyweds.

“We’d love to have this shared far & wide as Daniel deserves continued recognition for the kindness that he has in abundance.”
