A well-known Letterkenny medical practice has discovered a new strain of flu which is having a serious impact on a certain segment of the Donegal population.

Medics at the Scally McDaid Roarty Medical Practice have reminded patients there is still time to get the flu vaccine.

The reminder comes following the discovery of a second type of more serious flu – amongst men!

With tonque very much planted in cheek, a post on the practice’s website warns “Apparently there are two types of flu going around. The mild type that only affects women and the debilitating near death type that only affects men.”

We hear you ladies!
