Gardaí issue appeal after man injured in Inishowen hit-and-run

Gardaí are appealing for information in relation to a hit-and-run that occurred in Carndonagh last month.

A man was struck by a red car while crossing the road at Churchtown on Wednesday the 18 th of December at approximately 7.50pm.

However, the driver of the car continued onwards in the direction of the Mountain Road. Thankfully, the injuries sustained by the man were ‘non-life threatening’ in nature.

“We are anxious to locate the vehicle in question and the driver of same,” a garda spokesperson said. 

If anybody travelled in the Carndonagh area, or on the Mountain Road, with a dash cam between 7.30pm and 8.30pm on the evening in question, they are urged to make the footage available to Gardaí.
