A Letterkenny secondary school has recorded proof of a massive earthquake – in China.
The 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck in Xizang in China which is 7,746 kilometres from Donegal.
The shockwaves were recorded on the seismometer equipment located at Loreto in Letterkenny.
The region has experienced several aftershocks.
The school posted the readings from the earthquake on their social media.
