The new Dunfanaghy Primary Care Centre (PCC) opens to the public this Thursday afternoon.

GP services begin from 2.30pm, with the remainder of services due to commence in the coming weeks.

The GPs located at the centre are Dr Rory Stewart and Dr Paul Stewart.

Dunfanaghy Primary Care Centre will accommodate a range of health services such as GP Services, Dental Services, Public Health Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Home Support, and a number of visiting clinics. There will also be an ambulance dispatch point located there.

Mandy Doyle Head of Primary Care for HSE Community Services Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Monaghan, Sligo stated, “We welcome the opening of this new PCC. Our staff and the communities here are extremely proud of the range of health services provided at Dunfanaghy PCC. These vital and innovative health services will continue to make a real difference in the lives of people from Dunfanaghy and the surrounding areas, playing a crucial role in keeping people safe, well and healthy”.

Local councillor Michael McClafferty said he is “over the moon” with the opening today.

“Thanks to the HSE, the builders Mc Callion Group, and especially those who are no longer with us that passed on from 20 years ago when this first started. It’s a great day for the area,” Cllr McClafferty said.

“I’ve been fighting for this for years and pass my thanks to all involved plus all political colleagues down through the years who assisted as well.”

Dunfanaghy Primary Care Centre will open Friday 10th January 2025 from 9am to 1pm.

The opening hours for Dunfanaghy Primary Care Centre starting Monday 13th January 2025 are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
