Letterkenny lip sync battlers send support to Greg Fitzgerald Recovery Fund

St. Eunan’s GAA and Letterkenny Music and Drama Group have donated €1,000 to support Letterkenny man Greg Fitzgerald in his recovery from a stroke.

The money was raised during November’s Lip Sync Battle event, in which the two clubs put on an unforgettable show of music and dancing.

A portion of the proceeds was presented to the Greg Fitzgerald Recovery Fund last week.

“It was a fantastic night and we are honoured to pass on the donation to Greg and his family,” said St Eunan’s and LMDG.

The funds will help popular local man Greg, who suffered a massive stroke in March last year. He is continuing his recovery at the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dún Laoghaire.

A further €7,500 was raised for Greg in December at the St Eunan’s GAA dinner dance when two framed Donegal jerseys were auctioned. The jerseys have since found a new home in the Letterkenny Irish Pub in Rudolstadt, Germany, run by Letterkenny native Karol Kerrane.
