National: Man (70s) and teenager killed in seperate collisions overnight

Two people have lost their lives in collisions in Mayo and Limerick last night.

A pedestrian, a man aged in his 70s died in Co. Limerick when he was struck by a car. The tragic incident occurred in Abbeyfeale after 9pm on Sunday night.

Gardaí are currently at the scene of a second fatal road traffic collision, in Co. Mayo.

A young male driver, aged 17, suffered fatal injuries in a single vehicle collision on the R319 at Keel, Achill.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to both incidents.
